Oregon Ridge Nature Center Council
The Oregon Ridge Nature Center Council is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the enjoyment of nature. Council members work with the staff of the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks to provide programs for the public ranging from conservation to natural history, including seasonal programs, topical seminars, and trail walks. Members of the ORNC Council are the first to receive our seasonal calendars and are eligible for discounts on some programs and on gift shop purchases exceeding thirty dollars.
The Council meets the third Monday evening of each month at 7:30 pm at the Nature Center. Monthly meetings feature an interesting and informative guest speaker on a nature-related topic.
The Council publishes a periodic newsletter, TrailBlazer, which is mailed to all members. The newsletter includes articles on wildlife and nature, important environmental updates, and calendar listings on all Council & Park events, courses, meetings, and other ORNC activities.
