CANE POLE FISHING - May 19 & 20, 9-11 AM - Come fish for bluegill and largemouth bass with our cane poles. We provide the worms. No rod and reels allowed. Adults and children 16+ must have MD fishing licences in order to participate. Fishing is only allowed in the park grounds when a park naturalist is present. $3 ($2 Members)

BIRDING THE RIDGE - May 20, 8:30-10:30 AM - Join naturalist and avid birder, Katharine Patterson, on our monthly hike to search for feathered friends. FREE!

SPEAKERS SERIES - A NATURALIST VISITS NEW ZEALAND - Monday, May 21 @ 7:30 PM - by: Robert W. Stanhope, Chief Naturalist (retired). Free!

FAIRIES and ELVES - May 26, 2-4 PM - Learn all about these mysterious inhabitants of the forest and search for their presence at Oregon Ridge Park. Enjoy crafting houses for them and make a craft to take home. Ages 4yr+. $3 ($2 Members).

WHAT BUGS YOU? - May 27, 2-4 PM - Join our naturalist to find out which insects are out and about in our park and your back yard. $3 ($2 Members).

Hours

The Nature Center is open from 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Sunday.
We are closed on Mondays. The park grounds are open dawn to dusk everyday.
